Our products are handcrafted in Tannum Sands, a small coastal town in Central Queensland. We create luxurious body care that is effective in its application and as well as being good for us, is also kind to our planet.
Nádúrtha was created by Verity Wallace who is passionate about natural, healthy living and wants to share her products and offer a safe alternative to those wanting to add healthy to their skin regime.
” I created Free-ODORANT out of a personal choice to eradicate toxins from my daily life, whether it came from household products, food or skin care. Creating a déodorant was part of this process. I wanted to formulate a product that specifically worked for me as the natural déodorant’s I had used previously irritated my skin.’
Why we choose Natural + Organic
Pesticides and herbicides contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs), which enter our bloodstream and mimic our natural hormones, thus interfering and disrupting the regulation of bodily functions. This can lead to developmental, reproductive, neurological, and immune effects. Many experts believe there is no safe level of exposure to EDCs as they can have effects at extremely low doses when there is prolonged exposure.
The organic ingredients in our formulation are certified organic. We have chosen ingredients that carry certification so we can trust they have been grown by farmers who cultivate only the highest quality plants which are grown in clean soil and have not been treated with pesticides, herbicides, petrochemicals, or been genetically modified.
Why we choose Natural Déodorant
Personal care products are a direct pathway to exposure of toxic chemicals and for the most part are absorbed into our bodies. These enter our bodies via our lymph nodes, in the case of antiperspirant via the axillary node under the arm.
The active ingredient in antiperspirant is aluminium salts. This ingredient is added to artificially block sweat glands and inhibit perspiration. Our body controls temperature and excretes toxins through perspiration and by blocking sweat glands our bodies are absorbing chemicals, such as triclosan, phthalates and parabens in conventional deodorant. Once absorbed they may not all be metabolised and over time can leave a build up of harmful chemicals stored in our body. We need to be mindful that prolonged daily exposure to these chemicals could have an affect on our health.
We have incorporated certified organic tapioca starch into our formula which aids in absorbing moisture naturally. Wearing a natural déodorant over time may actually make you sweat less!
Choosing natural + organic skincare is a healthier and safer option for us + the environment.
